Our Team

Dr. Dong received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He completed his clinical externships in ocular disease at the Northampton VA Medical Center and the Bedford VA Medical Center in Massachusetts, and his primary care externship at the South End community health center in Boston.  Originally from Great Neck, New York, he now resides in Manhattan with his wife Cynthia, active toddlers, and his dog Cooper. When Dr. Dong is not practicing optometry, he enjoys surfing, tennis, classic cars, and hanging out with his family.

Federico, born and raised in Aguascalientes, Mexico, is a second-generation optician with over 50 years of experience. His father opened an optical shop in the 1950s, where Federico began honing his craft at the early age of 8, grinding and polishing lenses. The experience gained in his father’s optical shop taught him the intricacies involved in creating the perfect pair of glasses. Federico has been with Westside Vision since 1992. When Federico is not cutting lenses, you can find him hunting, fishing, and running.
