Meet Our DoctorDr. Davin D. Dong

Dr. Dong received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He completed his clinical externships in ocular disease at the Northampton VA Medical Center and the Bedford VA Medical Center in Massachusetts, and his primary care externship at the South End community health center in Boston.  Originally from Great Neck, New York, he now resides in Manhattan with his wife Cynthia, active toddlers, and his dog Cooper. When Dr. Dong is not practicing optometry, he enjoys surfing, tennis, classic cars, and hanging out with his family.

After getting LASIK, I have been visiting Dr. Davin Dong for a decade. He is always friendly, appointments are on time, the facilities are clean, he is VERY generous with his time, AND teaches me something new about the science of my eye every visit which I appreciate. For example, he explained using a computer simulation to show how astigmatism stretches your eye to increase the risk of retinal detachment. Even when I moved back to Long Island, I continued to visit him for my annual eye exam. I would recommend him as the go-to optometrist if you want to learn more about the science of your eye and want to know the best ways to keep your eyes healthy and strong.

He helped me choose new contacts and a daily care regimen to better cope with dry/irritated eyes from dry NYC apartments.
